In which the town’s cemetery becomes a bit too crowded.

  • "Oh, come on" says Tyresias "it was intriguing". Adrian sighs. "Go on, Aaron. So they left without you. But why are you here?" "Because they're a bunch of jerks is why", Aaron replies. "No I mean..." Adrian explains "the first rest stop is pretty far from here. How did you get to this place?" "On foot!" Aaron smiles. "They weren't coming back, so I tried to reach them. But then I got lost and it started to rain, so I looked for shelter and... I just ended up here". "In a graveyard." "I didn't KNOW it was a graveyard! I thought it was a garden or... or whatever!" "Bet he thought the tombstones were gingerbread houses..." Tyresias comments. Adrian ignores her and keeps talkin to Aaron instead: "Couldn't you just... use your phone?" The blonde guy looks away, rubbing his neck, embarassed: "I left it on the bus..." Tyresias rolls her eyes: "Why am I not surprised?"

  • -I... I wish I knew, really- Aaron starts recounting -They just... left me on the road. See, I had this awful need to pee, so we got to a rest stop. They said they'd wait for me, but when I came back they were gone. GONE! -WHO was gone?- Adrian rubs his forehead. -Gandalf and the dwarves, maybe?- suggests the werewolf girl. -My band mates- Aaron side-eyes her -I'm a famous rock star, you know? -Yup- replies the girl -and I am the queen of England. -You girl... please- Adrian stops her. -Tyresias- says the girl. -What?- Adrian asks. The girl explains: -You can call me Tyresias. -That's... an odd name- comments Adrian. She smiles: -Did you prefer your majesty? ...Anyway, I'm curious to hear the rest of the story. Aaron crosses his arms and looks away from her: -I'm not talking to you.

  • A loud thunder. Lightnings cast their light on Aaron's "monster": it's a marble statue depicting an angel of death standing on a pile of skulls. "That's... a statue" says Adrian, out of field. The redhead girl can't help but laugh: "Serves you right for trusting the words of a wasted hobbit" "WHO DID YOU CALL A HOBBIT?!" Aaron suddenly jumps at her, while Adrian keeps staring at the statue in complete exasperation. He turns to look at the other two: "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, QUIT IT, YOU TWO!" he shouts. He then tries to regain his composure: "Aaron, tell me again what happened. CLEARLY".

  • The group starts searching for the vampire. They walk around the cemetery, keeping an eye on tombs, crypts and even bushes... but to no avail. After several minutes of research, Adrian has to give up: "...Gone. Duh". Just as he's saying that, however, Aaron seems to notice something in front of him. He grabs the sleeve of Adrian jackets and shakes him: "NO, HE'S STILL THERE!" he points at some place right above the three of them: "LOOK!"

  • Adrian turns to look at the blonde guy: "You, blondie... where did this monster go?" "D-down there!" the guys points at the direction where he came from. "But don't make me go back there, please!" "Look, it'd be more dangerous for you to walk away alone" says Adrian, "what's your name?" "A-Aaron..." the blonde guy still looks worried. "Okay, trust me and listen, Aaron" replies Adrian "all I need is for you to stay calm and tell me where to go exactly". "Yeah, because he looks so sane..." says the redhead girl. "What do you mean?" Adrian turns to look at her. She points at Aaron: "Can't you see? This guy is drunk as a skunk, if not worse!" "AND YOU... YOU'RE AS FLAT AS A PANCAKE!" shrieks Aaron, his face turning red. The girl won't budge. "See? Your over-the-top reaction just made it more obvious!" "I was speaking the truth" hisses Aaron. Adrian turns to look at them both: "Could you two please shut up? You're only making it easier for him to run away!"

  • The blonde man stops to catch his breath, while the other two stare at him in awkward silence. He's clearly exhaused from the run. Once he catches his breath, he starts explaining: "He was tall and dark and he tried to choke me! He grabbed my necklace, but it broke and I--" "Alright, you're safe now" Adrian stops him, "are there any others with you?" - The young man grabs Adrian's shirt, desperate: "THEY ABANDONED ME!" he shrieks "ON THE HIGHWAY! LIKE A DOG!" "You sure do bark an awful lot" replies the red haired girl, slightly annoyed. "I DON'T-" the blonde guy says even louder, but Adrian stops him again: "Hush! Let me think..."

  • The girl smiles, making a gesture to point at the exit of the cemetery: "Sure, I was just going to..." she pauses, slowly realizing what Adrian actually said. "No, wait... WHAT?! You STILL don't trust me?!" "No, I don't" says Adrian, as he turns to look at her once again "move, he's not gonna wait for us to come." "I... think there might be no need to move at all..." the girl replies, as she stares in shock at the figure that's approaching. A short man with a messy nest of long blonde hair is running towards them. He's wearing a purple bandana on his forehead, a jeans jacket and tights with differently colored legs (one black, one pink with zebra stripes). "A MONSTER!" he screams "a monster wants to kill me!" "...Woah" comments the girl, "did you just run away from a zoo or...?" Adrian doesn't seem too shocked by the sudden appearance and tries to get more information instead: "Calm down, boy, and tell me everything you can".

  • The werewolf girl starts to get out of the bush she was hiding in. "I wouldn't be so sure" she replies to Adrian "I still feel the presence of someone else around here..." "What?! Why didn't you tell me sooner?" the man asks, anger resurfacing once again. "Oh, sorry, it must have slipped my mind while YOU were pointing your gun at ME!" says the girl, also annoyed. Adrian tries to justify himself: "I would have stopped before, if you-" but before he can finish the sentence, the voice of someone screaming not too far away puts an end to the argument. "Did you hear that?" Adrian asks, as he looks around, trying to figure out where the scream came from. The girl rolls her eyes, still annoyed: "No, really, are you kidding me?!" Adrian turns to look at her, confused by the reaction. "Nevermind" she says "looks like you might be still on time to catch your vampire". "I hope so", says Adrian, "but you are coming with me".

  • The girl looks down, now saddened, and plays with the sleeve of her hoodie: "Think I enjoy turning into a bloody beast at night and then waking up naked in some random place with no memory of what happened?" Adrian slowly starts to lower his gun, a mischievous smile starting to show for the first time on his face. "Alright, she's got a point" he thinks "...and if it wasn't for the beast with no memories part, I don't think I'd mind waking up to her naked in my be-" "Are you even listening to me?" the girl interrupts his thoughts. Adrian blushes, embarassed, and nearly loses his grip on the gun: "Ah, er..." he tries to regain his composure: "...Fine, let's say I believe you. Either way, you were not my target tonight." The girl crosses her arms, now a little curious: "You said you were after a vampire?" "Who's probably gone by now, yes" says Adrian, as he puts his gun away.

  • "Damn, okay!" the werewolf girl backs down, worried about Adrian's gun still pointed at her face. "I was looking for some... aconite. There's a lot of it around here". Adrian doesn't look convinced: "Aconite. Right. Are you trying to commit suicide or do you think I'm just stupid?" The girl gets annoyed: "See? I knew you wouldn't believe me. That stuff is poisonous, yes, but small doses can be of great help". "Which means...?" Adrian asks. The girl lowers her hands a little, despite the fact that Adrian is still pointing his gun at her. "There's going to be a full moon in a few days", she explain "aconite can block the transformation. That's why I'm here". "Do you expect me to believe all this?" says Adrian. The girl, however, can't stand this sort of treatment anymore: "Do you hunters think all of us are the same?" she explodes "Lycanthropy is a curse!"
