In which the town’s cemetery becomes a bit too crowded.

  • "Alright, lead the way", Adrian concedes, "but if you try to hurt us..." "You'll shoot me with your silver bullets, yes". Tyresias replies, rolling her eyes, "you're awfully repetitive, you know?" "Just making sure you don't get any strange ideas" says Adrian, as he starts moving his Harley away from the street "Can you guys help me get this out of the way?" he asks the other two. Then, to himself: "This isn't really how I was expecting the night to end". As the three move the Harley away, Tyresias jokes: "Stranger than giving a lift to a hunter and Mr. Baggins, you mean? That'd be tough to beat!" "WHO'S MR. BAGGINS?!" says Aaron, loudly. "Oh, please, NOT AGAIN!" replies Adrian, exasperated. Meanwhile, he keeps wondering: "I just want to hope I'm not making the biggest mistake of my life..." As the three leave the cemetery, a mysterious figure watches them go.

  • "Don't look at me, I did nothing!" Tyresias raises her hands to prove her innocence, but Adrian has no intention to accuse her. "That's his fault!" he says, angry, "he did this!" "Me...?" Aaron looks at him, confused. "Not you. Oh, to hell with it" Adrian kneels next to the bike, exasperated "how are we supposed to go home, now?" "Maybe I could help?" Adrian gets back up and looks at Tyresias, who just spoke: "You...?" "I have a car. I could take you guys home or-" "No, I mean... why?" Adrian cuts her off. "Probably because you seem pretty desperate. But if you prefer to stay here and catch a flu..." "Not to bother" says Aaron, "but it's getting cold and I'd rather not walk under this rain". Adrian isn't convinced: "Should I trust her?" he thinks, "What if it's a trap? And yet, why put on such a pretense when she could have killed us right away?"

  • The group reaches Adrian's motorcycle, as the hunter keeps ruminating: "She sounds sincere... yet something feels off." Meanwhile, Tyresias looks at the Harley Davidson, excited: "So, is that your baby? God, it's gorgeous! Can I take a closer look?" "Fine", Adrian concedes, "look, but don't touch!" - he lets Aaron go, but still keeps an eye on him to make sure that he can stand on his own. In the meantime, he goes back to his thoughts: "Maybe if I used my skills..." Tyresias gets closer to the motorcycle: "Wait, there's something wrong with the tires, though..." - Adrian isn't listening and keeps talking to himself: "But I'm too tired now, and I can't afford to-" "Hellooo? Anybody home?" Tyresias interrupts him. "Yeah?" Adrian turns to look at her, confused. "The tires. They look... deflated". Adrian, still lost in his thought, doesn't immediately process what she just said: "Sure, I just changed them and... no, wait". He opens his eyes wide, shocked and angry: "...WHAT?!"

  • Adrian stares at the girl in silence, not knowing what to say. She doesn't seem to notice: "Holy cow, I want to see it! Let's go!" Adrian looks at her, suspicious: "Your... mood changed fast, werewolf". "Well, you're not going to kill me AND there's a Harley around, that's enough to cheer me up! ...And if you'd just call me Tyresias, I may even help you pick this guy up". "Pancake girl sounds better..." says Aaron, as Adrian attempts to pick him up. Adrian's attention, however, is still focused on Tyresias: "Her voice seems fine now" he thinks, "maybe I'm just tired..." Once he's done picking Aaron, he turns to the girl: "Okay. Tyresias, then". The girl smiles: "Good. Anyway, you didn't say why you were after that vampire". As the two talk, Aaron keeps muttering to himself: "I'd LOVE some pancakes now...", but Adrian and Tyresias ignore him. "He was found near a crime scene. The victim was someone I knew" the hunter says as they start heading out of the cemetery. "Woah, that's bad. Sorry for your loss. So you were hoping to interrogate him?" "Among the other things, yes" "I don't want to know what the other things are, but I get your point", replies Tyresias.

  • "I think there may be some truth in your words" Adrian admits. Tyresias smiles: "Which is already more than I expected". Adrian cuts her off: "...I also think that dealing with you tonight would be a suicide. So I'm offering you a truce. Try not to make me regret it." "I won't. Thank you". Adrian looks down and rubs his neck, slightly embarassed: "Don't thank me. Now, I left my Harley not so far from here. If our friend would be so kind to get up from that puddle of mud he's in..." "Wait..." Tyresias interrupts him, "YOU'VE GOT A HARLEY?!" she nearly screams, excited. Her voice, however, sounds... odd. As if there's not one, but two voices coming out of her. Adrian stares at her, startled: "That voice... for a moment I could have sworn..."

  • Tyresias kneels near Aaron to take a closer look. He doesn't react, so she pokes him on the nose bridge. Still no reaction. She gets even closer, sniffing him. And that's when Aaron lets out a groan. The stench of his breath makes Tyresias pull back in disgust: "Urgh! Okay, he's still alive. He's just... taking a nap?!" "Trying to, yep. Leave me alone" says Aaron, still laying on the ground. Adrian rolls his eyes: "I have a feeling that this is gonna be a very long night" "So would you consider not killing me to save some energy?" Tyresias asks, hopeful. Adrian is confused: "Did I say that I was going to kill you?" "Well, you seemed pretty determined before" Tyresias stands up again "and I'd hate to be a target now that your vampire is gone". "I also said that I was not here for you tonight. Unless you prove to be a threat. Are you?" Tyresias smiles: "Shouldn't you be the one to judge? What do you think?"

  • "Anyway, if it's true that his friends left him alone and he's got no money with him..." Tyresias starts saying, now slightly worried. "He's going to need a place to sleep at" Adrian adds. Meanwhile, in the background, something seems a little wrong with Aaron, who lets out a little moan. The other two don't seem to notice: "Well, don't look at me for that" Tyresias replies, a sarcastic smile on her face. Adrian looks away from her: "I wasn't even thinking to ask". "Good, because-" before Tyresias can finish her sentence, a thud interrupts her. "What's going on, now?" Adrian looks at the direction where the noise came from. On the ground lies Aaron, unconscious. "I think our hobbit friend just passed out" says Tyresias. "Wonderful" replies Adrian, "and here I was hoping to avoid the hospital..."

  • The group looks at the statue. "You know, he's not so wrong. That thing IS creepy", says Tyresias. "But it's NOT a vampire" replies Adrian, as he nervously rubs his neck. Meanwhile, Aaron screams directly at the statue: "CAN YOU HEAR ME?! YOU WON'T HAVE ME!" Tyresias looks away, annoyed: "How many times do I have to tell you? The dude is out of his mind!" Adrian doesn't seem too convinced: "Well, it's not like you are making any more sense to me. You had multiple occasions to knock us out and run and yet... you didn't?" "Maybe because I told you the truth and I have no intention to hurt anyone?" "...Maybe" Adrian eventually admits. "So what now?" asks Tyresias "are we taking him to the hospital or something?" "Nah. He IS drunk as a skunk, but he will survive". As they talk, Aaron keeps screaming at the statue: "HELLO?! I LIKED THAT NECKLACE, YOU KNOW? GIVE IT BACK OR..." he takes a step back and steps on a branch, which cracks. "EEEEK!" Adrian facepalms. Tyresias raises her brow: "...If you say so."

  • Aaron looks away from Adrian, embarassed: "I... no, I didn't". "Then why are you so sure it was a monster?" Adrian asks. "Because its hands were clawing at me!" Aaron shrieks. "The hands of the statue?" The group stares at it. "I wonder how he got up there in the first place..." says Tyresias, while Aaron insists: "It's a monster, I tell you! Just look at its creepy face! That thing is staring at us, listening to what we say, waiting to kill us all!"

  • "You could have asked those at the rest stop to call a taxi or..." says Adrian, but Aaron replies: "I had some coins, but I'd already spent them to get a beer or two..." "More like the whole case, judging from the smell..." comments the redhead girl with a smirk. "Is she your girlfriend?" Aaron asks, "'cos she's irritating". Adrian is caught off guard: "What?! She's NOT! She was just-" "I'm helping him sort this mess out" the girl cuts him off. "Look, if this is your idea of helping, I don't want to know what your idea of sabotage is..." Adrian replies. "Alright, fine!" the girl concedes "you are the cop, after all. He's all yours". "HE IS A COP?!" Aaron asks, shocked. Adrian looks at the two of them, irritated: "I am not. Please, go on. You said there was a monster. Did you SEE their face, at least?"
